Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 2, 2026
Last Updated: April 2, 2026

The Short Version

  • You don't need an account to play. Accounts are optional and just save your stats across devices.
  • If you create an account, we collect your email (or Google profile info). That's it.
  • We use analytics (PostHog, Vercel) to understand how people use the game.
  • We don't sell your data. We don't run ads.
  • Game state is stored in your browser's localStorage. If you're on Safari and don't visit for 7 days, Apple may delete it.
  • You can delete your account anytime. Your personal info gets wiped; anonymized gameplay stats are kept.

Octave Partners, LLC dba Oddly ("we," "us," or "our") operates Emojinary (the "Service"), a daily emoji guessing game available at emojinary.game. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Service.

Safari Notice: Apple's Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) on Safari deletes localStorage data for websites that have not received user interaction within 7 days of active Safari use. This may cause your locally stored game statistics to be cleared if you use Safari regularly but do not visit Emojinary within a 7-day period. Creating an account ensures your stats are preserved server-side. Adding Emojinary to your home screen on iOS exempts it from this restriction.

4. Google API Services User Data

If you sign in using Google, we access only your basic profile information (name, email address, and profile picture) as authorized through Google's OAuth consent screen. We use this data solely to create and authenticate your account. We do not request access to any other Google services or data.
